About Me

My name is Elizabeth Simmons

I am a native of Harlem, New York, and the proud founder of Mighty I Am Ministry. On August 20, 2012, I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Savior. In 2013, the Lord began using me to minister to many women at MDC Federal Correctional Facility. Many lives were encouraged, changed, and led to salvation.

After leaving the facility, I began working with missionaries, providing food and clothing to those in need. With God’s blessings, in 2015, Mighty I Am Ministry was launched. Doors began to open, giving me the opportunity to organize my first conference in New York, preaching the good news and spreading His word.

In 2024, I earned an Associate of Arts degree in Biblical Studies, equipping me to continue in my calling and build God’s Kingdom.

Beyond ministry, I am a devoted wife, a proud mother of four, and a grandmother to six amazing grandchildren.

One scripture that has guided me through it all “Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither His ear heavy, that it cannot hear.”(Isaiah 59:1)
About Me

My name is Elizabeth Simmons

I am the founder of the Mighty I Am Ministry. I was born in Harlem, New York, but my journey has taken me through many trials and victories. While incarcerated at MDC Federal Correctional Facility, God met me in a powerful way. It was there that I surrendered my life to Christ on August 20, 2012, and He began using me to minister to the women around me. I witnessed lives being transformed, hearts turning to God, and souls being saved—starting with my own.

After my release in 2014, I knew my purpose was to serve. I began working with missionaries, providing food and clothing to the homeless, and doing whatever I could to be the hands and feet of Jesus. In 2015, after completing discipleship training, the Lord spoke to me clearly: It’s time to launch. Stepping out in faith, I founded the Mighty I Am Ministry and organized my first conference in New York, fully embracing the calling God had placed on my life.

In 2024, I earned an Associate of Arts degree in Biblical Studies from Colorado Christian University, further equipping me for the work of the ministry. Today, I am fully committed to preaching the Word, reaching lost souls, feeding the homeless, and serving the elderly. Every day, I strive to share the love and power of Jesus Christ with those in need.

Beyond ministry, I am a devoted wife to my husband, Terry, a proud mother of four, and a grandmother to six amazing grandchildren. One scripture that has guided me through it all is James 4:8—“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”

No matter where you’ve been or what you’ve been through, God’s grace is bigger. He can take any story—no matter how broken—and turn it into something beautiful. I pray that as you read my journey, you are reminded that God’s love, redemption, and power are for you too.
